SUZANNE FIELD, represented by Gold Leaf Gallery, an accomplished professional visual artist with a unique ability to exploit multiple mediums, including oils, pastels, watercolors, and pencil. Ms Field began developing her artistic skills at the age of five, creating portraits and depictions of wildlife. As a teenager, she painted a portrait for astronaut Gordon Cooper at Cape Canaveral in Florida.While living in Ft. Worth, Texas, Ms. Field was commissioned for many artistic renderings of horses with their riders, as well as cattle, which were shown at the Ft. Worth Stockyards Gallery, Thistle HUI, and other Ft. Worth galleries. Her work was also displayed in numerous art shows in Texas cities, including Houston, Odessa, and in Phoenix, Arizona. Ms. Field was selected to create a rendering of General Thompson for the Carswell Air Force Base's, Thompson Hospital. This rendering of General Thompson still hangs in the hospital today. ![]() Her unique portrayal of horses, wildlife, scenery, and people has won numerous awards in art shows across the country. Her pastel and watercolors of bears and other wildlife were displayed at the Black Hawk Gallery in Anchorage, Alaska. Ms. Field currently resides in Tyler, Texas, where she continues to create a wide variety of art originals of horses, wildlife and portraits. She was recently commissioned to create a rendering of the Tyler Science Center building with a dinosaur in the background.
